Manitoba Harvest’s facility and operations are Certified Organic by Pro-Cert Canada Inc.

There is an organic standards equivalency agreement between Canada – United States, United States – European Union, and Canada – European Union.

Equivalency allows US, Canada and EU’s Organic regulations or standards to remain as is in each country, but treated as the same as long as the regulations/standards achieve the same results. The organic equivalency agreement deems that both the foreign country’s conforming assessment system (and its standards) is equivalent to requirements of the domestic regulations.

Under the equivalency agreement, Manitoba Harvest’s Pro-Cert certification is deemed equivalent to those certifications given by accredited certifying bodies in the US and EU. In other words, Manitoba Harvest does not have to double-certify to the US or EU’s organic standards in order to meet US or EU’s labeling requirements when exporting to those markets.

Certified Kosher

Manitoba Harvest products are certified as Kosher and Pareve by the Orthodox Union. They are eligible to bear the Kosher seal of approval OU.

Manitoba Harvest products are certified as Kosher and Pareve by the Orthodox Union. They are eligible to bear the Kosher seal of approval OU. In Hebrew, "Kosher" means fit or proper as it refers to the set of dietary laws that govern both the selection and preparation of food. It means that a given product is permitted or acceptable for consumption within the Code of Jewish Law. Given the complex nature of the laws of Judaism, one should consult an Orthodox Rabbi when a personal question of Kosher may arise.
 

BRC Global Standards Certification

Manitoba Harvest’s state of the art facility has achieved the globally recognized “gold standard” in food safety and quality - British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standards Certification. Currently, Manitoba Harvest is the only hemp foods manufacturer with BRC Certification.

To receive BRC Certification, Manitoba Harvest underwent a voluntary audit by a third-party Certification Body that ensures the production, packaging, storage and distribution of safe food and consumer products. The Certification is meant to reassure retailers and end consumers of the capability and competence of Manitoba Harvest’s facility and therefore the integrity of Manitoba Harvest products.
