Hemp Nutrition

Hemp is truly a “super seed". Hemp foods are:

  1. A complete, plant-based protein.
  2. Contain all 10 essential amino acids.
  3. Full of good fats - omega 3 & omega 6. (The World Health Organization recommends an Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio of 4:1. Hemp has the closest to ideal at 3.75:1).
  4. Rich in the rare Omega-6 gamma linolenic acid (GLA), which has been shown to help with skin & hair health, hormone balancing, inflammation, cholesterol maintenance, and overall heart health. (Hemp is the only food source of GLA).
  5. Easy to digest. Hemp has one of the highest digestibility scores.
  6. Packed with magnesium - “mother nature’s muscle relaxant.” Magnesium has been shown to help reduce headaches, constipation, stress, cramps, and more.
  7. Full of other nutrients like fibre, iron, phosphorous, and folate acid.
  8. Suitable for any diet!
