Hempen Brie Wheel
- 7-8 inch brie wheel
- 1/4 cup Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 3 tbsps of maple syrup
- 2-3 sheets of phyllo pastry
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 F.
With a sharp knife cut the wax off the top of the brie wheel - horizontally. With a pastry brush, butter between the sheets of pastry. Place the brie wheel, cut top facing up - on the pastry. Make sure it is skewed to one end.
Sprinkle the top of the brie wheel with hemp seeds and cranberries. Drizzle with maple syrup.
Fold the pastry over the brie wheel, using the butter to secure the ends. Once the wheel is completely wrapped, brush the top and bottom with butter, and place on a cookie sheet.
Bake for approx. 20-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool for a few moments, and serve with crackers.
