Hmm, hemp seeds! I had actually long been put off hemp seeds, after my health food cafe compulsorily introduced them to all their salads and lunches. Despite the cafe's enthusiasm I found them extremely bitter so it was with some trepidation I tried the Manitoba shelled hemp seed. I found they had a really pleasant and almost addictive nutty flavour - the seeds can be sprinkled on soups, salads, put in sandwiches or just eaten on their own. Not only delicious but very healthy, an excellent source of the essential fatty acids, amino acids and GLA.
