Hemp Questions
Can I cook with Manitoba Harvest hemp products?
Where is your hemp grown?
We have been sourcing our hemp from Canadian farmers for more than 20 years and we will continue to partner with them for our line of hemp food products. We are proud to be working directly with U.S. farmers compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill to source the highest-quality hemp for our Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract with CBD.
How much hemp is too much in a day?
I thought Omega 6s are bad for you?
When it comes to our bodies we need a mix or balance of essential fatty acids (EFAs). It is best to consume foods that have naturally balanced omegas. Hemp has an Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio of 3:1. Plus, the omegas in hemp are unrefined and easily digestible.
For more information about “good” and “bad” Omega 6s or the balance of omegas, contact your health care professional.

What about pets – are hemp foods safe for animals?

What is the difference between a hemp seed and a hemp heart?
Hemp hearts are hulled hemp seeds. They are the soft, chewy center inside the shell of the hemp seed. Think of the tasty, soft inside of a sunflower seed that you eat. Hemp hearts have a subtle nutty flavor and can be consumed raw. You can also cook with them, making them a great pantry staple. Hemp hearts are versatile and fun to experiment with – add them to smoothies, desserts, and more!
