Hemp Seed Gomasio
(Makes about 3 cups / 750ml)
Ingredients
1 cup / 150g brown, unhulled sesame seeds
4 sheets nori
1 Tbsp. fine sea salt
1 tsp. wasabi powder, optional
1 cup / 140g Manitoba Harvest regenerative hemp seeds
Directions:
- Place sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook, stirring often until fragrant; about 4-6 minutes. Taste a couple seeds to make sure they are toasted to your liking (they should be pleasantly nutty with no bitterness). Remove from heat and set aside to cool for a few minutes.
- Add the cooled seeds to a food processor along with the nori (crumble it up) salt, and wasabi powder, if using. Pulse a few times to pulverize the nori. Lastly, add the hemp seed and pulse a few times to fully incorporate the ingredients.
- Transfer to an airtight glass container and store at room temperature for two to three months. Enjoy!
